Data sources

GovConAgent is built on official, public federal data. We add scoring and analysis on top — we never change the underlying government records, and every opportunity links back to its authoritative source.

Freshness & verification

Opportunity data is refreshed daily, and each notice carries its posted and response-deadline dates. Even so, official notices can change after our refresh. Treat GovConAgent as a way to prioritize and prepare — and always verify requirements, deadlines, and eligibility against the official SAM.gov solicitation before submitting anything.

AI-generated summaries, analyses, and drafts should be reviewed by qualified humans before use in official submissions. GovConAgent does not guarantee contract awards. Users remain responsible for final compliance and submission decisions.

Frequently asked questions

How fresh is the opportunity data?

GovConAgent refreshes its store of active SAM.gov solicitation notices daily. Because there is a short lag between an official posting and our next refresh, always confirm the current status, requirements, and deadline on the official SAM.gov notice before you act.

Do you show every SAM.gov notice?

No. GovConAgent focuses on active solicitation-type notices (solicitations, combined synopsis/solicitations, and presolicitations) within a recent window. It intentionally excludes notice types like award notices and sources-sought when building your matchable pool.

Is the data modified in any way?

The underlying notice is never changed. GovConAgent adds a fit score and analysis on top of the official facts, and always links back to the source notice so you can read the original.

Where do the NAICS codes come from?

Directly from the U.S. Census Bureau's official 2022 NAICS files — not reconstructed from memory. The revision year is stated on the NAICS finder tool.
